BLACK TEA DROPS born at the end of 2011 from the union of professional musicians. They begin to collaborate with each other in various work situations that lead them to tread important stages as support bands for various shows.
They decide to found a band with a single common denominator: the love for black music in all its facets.
From neo soul to R’n’B, seasoned with a bit of funk and a “pinch” of jazz, these are the BLACK TEA DROPS. Trying to mix tradition and decidedly more modern sounds.

Thus began a journey that leads them from one side to several live events and from the other to intense experiments in the rehearsal room. During these years and after several changes of staff, the band’s current line-up, formed by the group’s historical core, takes shape at the end of 2015.
The continuous and incessant need to come up with their own sound leads them to the decision to start producing original songs with the collaboration of Randy Roberts who takes care of the lyrics. Thus in 2017 “Tea Drops” is born, their first EP from which two video clips are extracted.
Just this first work arouses the attention of Filibusta Records with which they signed in December 2018 a recording contract for the republication of “Tea Drops” and the production of the new album.
The creative vein is inexhaustible so they immediately re-enter the studio for writing new music. The collaboration with Randy Roberts is now well established. In April 2019, for Filibusta Records, the first single “down and deep” was released, followed by video clips, while in the autumn of the same year the new single “change” is scheduled to be released.
Ah … why are they called that?
