Almendra Music is a music incubator, a musician collective and think-tank with own production facilities, established in 2012 in Palermo (Sicily, Italy). It's a safe haven where interdependent musicians, sound artisans, visual artists and producers join forces to plant seeds for the present and future of music, letting their art grow organically through intense relationships and mutual exchange of ideas, emotions and expertise.
Almendra also runs a boutique label with a growing catalogue moving forward from Classical Music to 21st century composition, Electronic Music, Improvisation, Ambient, Experimental and Art-Math-Jazz-Whatever-Rock'n'Roll.

Almendra is based in Palermo, the capital of multicultural Sicily, the island floating out into the Mediterranean from Italy’s toe. For millennia at the crossroads of civilizations, Sicily has a rich and uniquely layered culture, which inspires Almendra Music artists to creatively approach every musical belief and tradition with deep respect and an open mind. At Almendra Music we believe this is a valuable attitude, an answer and a task especially today, when the Mediterranean is once again a crossing point of peoples, at a time where capital, goods, people and culture flow globally and call into question the individuality and identity of everyone, everywhere.
Networking and a co-production approach that leaves music in the hands of artists stimulate the growth of Almendra Music plants. At Almendra we believe that there is no pure way of doing it, there's just doing it well, all together, because in the end, whatever you like to do or listen to, you are music, and music is you.
